A place, a season for everything

I haven’t written anything personal on this blog for a while …Time to catch up because of the recent changes in my career.

As you probably know by now, I’m a Christian who loves talking about her faith. I do it a lot on TikTok and Instagram, this blog is no exception. Today I wanna share more about where I am in life right now and how it impacts my calling (doing Florist Web Design)

Life unfolds the way it’s supposed to when you surrender

And by surrender, I don’t mean the obvious “let go, let God” Yes as Christians, we’re told to trust that Gods has our best interest at heart (Jeremiah 29:11) but friend, surrender requires denying yourself.

See, at the beginning of this journey, when I decided to build websites for florists, I was struggling to get traction. Nobody visited my website. No one read my articles. I had to constantly be active on Instagram to get people to read my writings.

Now fast forward to 2 years later, people easily find me on different platforms. I’m not doing much right now though. The evergreen content I posted, are bringing me trafic everyday. Now I’m able to look at my stats and see that people from all over the world are binging my blog posts. And that was one of my goal when I started. I wanted to help in any way I can.

I didn’t get here by “doing a lot”, “striving”, “posting every week” or sharing my links everywhere. I want to give God all the glory because I reached great numbers by simply being obedient.

He knew that results will eventually come up with perseverance. I’ve been heavily investing in my SEO strategy last year and it’s still going strong now. That’s why I’m saying that God knows the way. He knows how to get you where you need to be. Friend, He declares the end from the beginning. Isaiah 46:10

My favorite channel was Instagram but I barely get any visitors from there. So make sure you choose God’s will for your life. That’s how you get the blessings. Don’t be like Jonah.

A place and a season for everything

At some point in your walk with God, He’s gonna tell you to do things that seem to contradict the promise. He told me to launch this website and then let me become a full time Digital Marketing Manager an IT company. Yes, He did that. He confirmed that this business was indeed endorsed by Him, the same year. And guess what I did? I obeyed and followed through after years of being self employed. Did I want to become a corporate girlie ? …. To be honest, not really.

Now notice how I wrote in the past tense.

Yes, I left that job. I went through a lot and had no other options than leaving. I don’t really wanna talk about the why so let’s move on … but hear me out.

I loved working there, my colleagues were nice, the pay was good but the storms were revealing a new path for me. God will you shake your life, upside down when He’s moving you into a new season. The 1st half of 2026 was extremely stressful for me. I had terrible insomnia and I knew it had to end.

I learned a lot in that role and now I know why God told me to work there. I was able to maximise my skills and it taught me that I could handle working full time and building websites on the side. My evenings and weekend were tiring when I had a project but it was also so fulfilling.

All of this to say that God will direct you to a certain place for a season. You aren’t supposed to stay there forever but you’ll meet incredible people and you’ll grow a lot as a Christian.

Working at that IT company was life changing for me, it was very humbling. I’ve been self employed for most of my adult life but I made the most money last year. 2 streams of income felt so good, I have to admit.

I thank God in advance for where He’s leading me next and I’m excited for all the amazing opportunities ahead.

If you’ve made it this far, I’d like to remind you that we serve a big God. Stay obedient. Don’t follow your flesh, say no to yourself. He knows better!! Listen to His voice when He’s gently redirecting your steps. Let Him lead. This new version of you requires a bigger environment and destiny helpers.

Because at the end of the day, there’s a place and a season for certain things and you need to close some doors to go to the next level. Don’t shrink where you no longer belong.

Take care dear x
