This year has been eye opening to me. I won’t get much into details about my numbers, my income as a Web Designer or even my SEO statistics but today I’ll share with you the amazing process I went through to enter the promised land.
My story and ... the timeline
I’ve already shared last year that building websites for florists wasn’t my “original” idea. I had the skills for this but I preferred e-commerce. Long story short I ended up following the prompting from the Holy Spirit and my life changed for the better. Here’s a short timeline of how it truly happened behind the scenes because I want you to see how good God is.
-Sept 2022, I heard the Lord whispering to me to become a Web Designer. I blatantly refused and provided SEO services instead. My everyday life was a chaos. I was begging for clients to book me. I had to show up on Instagram Story every single day to promote my services.
-Sept 2023, I finally decided to build websites for florists. It was great but I was still struggling to get clients.
-Fast forward to 2025, clients are approaching me and some of them are leads I reached out almost 2 years ago. The “desperate” need to be booked left the room and I’m able to work with amazing clients to bring their vision to life.
Now let me show you what I did to get to where I am right now. We’re going to talk about marketing for a minute.
The process to get there: an act of obedience
Last year, in 2024, God led me to enroll into Paige Brunton course to start & launch my Web Design business. That was a huge commitment because I signed up for monthly payments.
I’ve always thought that I was supposed to work 1:1 straight away but instead, I felt compelled to build and sell Site Templates. I was also blogging to get organic traffic. After months of creating content on Pinterest, Instagram and Youtube, I’ve switched my focus this year and paid more attention to my SEO.
The results have been amazing so far:
I’m slowly getting traction and I don’t have to chase clients anymore. My marketing strategy is more authentic and it fits perfectly into this season of my life.
My point is: you don’t know when you’re ready for the next blessing, the next level or the new assignment. God does. He sees you. He knows how obedient you were during the hardships. I’m testifying today that "God will exalt you in due time" 1 Peter 5:6
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Romans 12:2
Friend, you don’t need to strive and lose sleep over the things you have no control over. I’m not in control of who’s gonna hire me but I have to do my best to put myself out there. It’s all about alignment. Your father in Heaven will give you the desires of your heart. He’ll perform that Ephesians 3:20 moment for you. That call you’ve been waiting for, that email, that conversation, that meeting. Everything will fall into place at the right time. One thing I learned about God is that He’s a God of order.
The only way for you to cross the finish line is to align yourself with His will. We often struggle to obey because He’s asking us to do things outside of our comfort zone. But I can assure you that what you’re avoiding right now is exactly the key to your breakthrough.
The Holy Spirit led you to this article to show you that God is a promise keeper. I’ve always known that He wanted me to build those sites but writing articles about floristry and sharing my life on social media to gain people trust, were not my thing. Pay attention to the title of this post “partnering with God to receive His blessings”
If you feel stuck or unable to move forward, if you’re constantly stressed out and depressed, please remember that God never intended for you to live like this 24/7. Read Deuteronomy 28.
God is not a genie, you can’t beg Him to grant all your wishes but it’s written in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has a good plan for your life. You have to follow His guidance day by day. “Your Word is a lamp to my feet.” Psalm 119:105
Do yourself a favour and go back to the last instruction He gave you. Chances are, your breakthrough and miracle will unfold from there.
